Most sought after jobs for freelancers are sector specific. This is more so when you notice the current situation both during and post COVID 19. Although online freelancers do well with anything so long as they are connected with Internet, yet for experienced and professionals some sectors do allow them to earn more money that rest.

Some specific sectors that offer good returns for freelancer’s time and effort are few and these can be segregated as five best sectors. These sectors are IT and Computer, Medical and Health Care, e-commerce, Accounting and Finance and Service sector.

1. Computer and IT Sector

This is almost well known in industries that computer and IT professionals are society’s best paid employees. This is one area that has seen tremendous increase in growth due to the pandemic. This sector has also proved to be recession free as most people have health issues these days and with COBVID 19 there are reports of dearth of such professionals. It has currently ended up as very highly paid for freelancers.

3. E-commerce and Retailing Sector

4. Accounting and Finance Sector

As most enterprises have gone online there is a rise in demand for accounts with specialized software for keeping day to day records including finance for small and medium organizations. Currently, full time accountants are hired to work remotely so that cost of additional labor is avoided.

 

5. Service Sector

Due to phenomenal growth of various industries the rise in number of online services has also risen. In other words, service sector freelancers offer specialized services without cost overheads that small to medium enterprises have to incur. A separate facility offering customer service may be quite costly so online remote facility is the best way such enterprises can keep their cost down. There is no need for additional training of employees too.
